Gunma University provides university-wide language education, including English, second foreign languages, and Japanese language education for international students. For details, please refer to the individual pages for each program.
- English Language
The General English Core Curriculum (GECC) at our university moves beyond traditional skill-based English instruction by integrating the four skills of reading, listening, writing, and speaking. By incorporating a problem-solving approach, the program creates a learning environment in which students actively use English. Building on the foundational English proficiency students have developed prior to entering university, the curriculum aims to foster the ability to use English as a practical tool for communication, with a strong emphasis on effective output.
- Second Foreign Languages (JP)
Gunma University offers courses in seven languages: German, French, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.
